Moving on

Been on the road for 2 hours so far. Grandparents gone on public bus
with a few others because there's not enough room on ours. Going to
Vic Falls this afternoon then out for a buffet meal :D can't wait!!

Street update

Was absolutely horrific, don't think even hell is as bad as that!!
Can't even put in to words how appalling it was, so glad its over now x

Monday 1st Aug

Going on the streets today, never felt so scared!! Apparently boys can
be a bit weird with girls so we have to be careful and stay with the
Zambian men on our team like Manie and Abe.

Thursday

We have practically finished laying the bricks etc so they were
surprised at how quick we got it all done. I went to the maid training
centre yesterday and that was really good. They had no food so we went
to a local shop and bought them some ingredients and made them eggy
bread :D was lush!!!

Dreadlocks & caterpillars

Me and Lucy got dreadlocks :) just 2 on each side, looks so cool!!
Just at the Fountain of Hope at the moment. Kids are so funny and
cute, all street kids so we're playing basketball with them then
having dinner soon.

I just ate a boiled african caterpillar, I feel sick to my stomach!!

Wednesday blog

Had so many amazing days so far! Got loads of friends from the group
and the leaders from Zambia are lovely! Got really close with
everyone, it's like 1 big family. Caught a lizard on the building site
and saw 2 cockroaches while I was sat on the toilet! Besides the
insects, this place is amazing! Our 3 friends are Abe, Chicka and Mani
(Emmanuel). Everyone is so friendly and they all just want to be ours
friends. Tonight we're going to the Fountain of Hope which is the
centre for street children, so I'm taking my bball to leave there
because apparently they have a bball net so me and Tim are going to
teach them a few tricks :) speak soon.....

Another update

Another update, went to the church yesterday and had a 3 hour service
which was amazing! Then we took lots of photo's with the children.
Today we went on the building site and are just on our way to the
House of Moses orphanage. I'm really annoyed because my camera has
been playing up and the lens doesn't seem to be working but I have it
on charge and people have had a look at it so hopefully it will work
soon!! Having an amazing time and I'll make sure I keep you updated
the rest of the time I'm here.........Em :)
